Uma análise bibliométrica da pesquisa sobre gestação de substituição: Tendências atuais e lacunas entre o direito internacional e as novas tecnologias

Resumo
Sub-rogação ou gestação de substituição é um fenômeno global que cresceu exponencialmente desde os anos 1980. A pesquisa acadêmica sobre gestação de substituição se adaptou aos desafios emergentes dessa prática, tornando-se ampla e multidisciplinar. Para orientar pesquisas futuras, usamos a análise bibliométrica para fazer um "diagnóstico" a respeito das tendências passadas e atuais da literatura acadêmica sobre gestação de substituição. Os resultados indicam que (1) apesar do fato de a barriga de aluguel ser um mercado global em expansão, as perspectivas do direito internacional e da economia estão sendo negligenciadas; (2) a pesquisa não está abordando as questões de maior preocupação para as políticas, como exploração ou tráfico de pessoas e o impacto das tecnologias para a proteção dos direitos das partes envolvidas; e (3) a produção de conhecimento sobre barriga de aluguel está amplamente concentrada em alguns países ocidentais. Tomados em conjunto, esses resultados apontam para uma enorme lacuna entre pesquisa e política. Pesquisas futuras devem abordar essas questões negligenciadas para informar melhor os formuladores de políticas e o impacto das novas tecnologias para o direito.Palavras-chave:
