The subject as an object: an historical approach to the Freudian formation of moral consciousness

In the following essay, it’ll be search to expose, through an historical problematization, the radical philosophical novelty that Freudian theory represents regarding the constitution of the moral self-consciousness based on the introjection of the paternal law. For this purpose, in the first place, it will be shown the historically relevant milestones that enable to install a reflection about the moral interiority in the Augustinian philosophy, contrasting it with the classical Hellenic thought. Then, it’ll exposed the Nietzschean hypothesis for the appearance of morality as a power strategy inside the Judeo-Christian tradition for, on one side, show their insufficiencies and, in the other, move on to the Freudian theory about the formation of moral consciousness as a identificatory process in regard to the father figure, what enable to explain the moral self-critique phenomena as a type of self-distancing regarding to himself.

Systematic unity of reason in the Critique of Pure Reason and the Critique of the Power of Judgment

Systematic unity of reason for Immanuel Kant is a matter of all or nothing. This article aims to analyze the notion of systematic unity of reason in the Critique of Pure Reason and its reformulation in the Critique of the Power of Judgment in order to give unity to reason in its theoretical and practical uses. First, we review the systematic unity according to the Transcendental Doctrine of Method. Second, we review the Appendix to the Transcendental Dialectic as a possible, but problematic candidate for the unity of reason. Third, we briefly show the transcendental principle of purposiveness of reflective judgment as apt to give unity to nature and freedom and to fulfill the practical requirement of the cosmic concept of philosophy

Can Anyone Be Morally Impartial in Making Decisions Regarding the Environmental Crisis?

This paper seeks to question two criteria traditionally present in the theory of justice and decision-making in the environmental crisis: 1) The possibility of moral impartiality and 2) The human/nature dichotomy. It is argued that the principle of moral partiality and interdependence with the environment will allow for a situated development of nature-friendly policies. It is argued that climate change allows us to reconsider our relationship with nature and that the ethics of environmental care, known as ecosophy, appeals to an encounter with nature rather than a distance. Finally, it is argued that it is not possible to be impartial in making decisions that affect nature, since nature actively participates in decisions about it. The relevance of this paper lies in the reflection and reformulation of contemporary ethical concerns to promote a caring relationship with nature.

The Christian religion in Young Hegel's thought (1793-1800)

The purpose of this paper is to show that the most significant feature of the young Hegel's thought consists in the analysis of the primitive foundations of the Christian religion and in the critique of its ecclesiastical and doctrinal development. This is expressed both in the various interpretations that in his youthful period Hegel elaborates on the teachings of Jesus, through which he attempts to reform the spirit of Christianity, and in the meaning and function that he attributes to the Christian religion in the configuration of the ethical, political and social reality of the modern Western world. In order to accomplish this task, some of Hegel's most important writings from his period in Tübingen, Bern and Frankfurt are analyzed.

Truth as an educational aim from critical thinking

This research will analyze and justify the concept of critical thinking, understood as an important educational aim in relation to the concept of truth. In the first instance, the concept of critical thinking found in the national curriculum will be reviewed as an example. Critical thinking will then be analysed and epistemologically grounded in its epistemic components, based on the contributions of the educational philosopher Harvey Siegel and the reliabilist epistemology of Alvin Goldman. From this foundation, critical thinking will be linked to the concept of truth by understanding it as a process leading to truth. This will provide a different basis for conceptualising critical thinking as an educational objective, reformulating this concept in ministerial documents and deriving teaching suggestions by means of which to train students to think critically. This leads to a reconsideration of truth as a primary epistemic goal in education in its own right, alongside the development of critical thinking.

What comes after the subject: adonado and individual in Marion and Nancy

The article examines the conception of "what comes after the subject" in the philosophies of Jean-Luc Marion and Jean-Luc Nancy, focusing on how each addresses the status of the body and subjectivity. Marion introduces the concept of adonado, emphasizing the receptivity and donation of the phenomenon, while Nancy proposes a notion of “individual” centered on exposure and interaction. Through a comparative analysis, it shows how both philosophers redefine the subject in the context of contemporary phenomenology, with Marion surpassing the assumptions on which Nancy continues.
