This article seeks to present an analysis of the role of women in contractual theories and how this influences the occurrence of gender violence. It will be deliberated how the rise of capitalism has subjugated women and institutionalized gender violence. It will also be examined how misogyny threatens women today and how there is still a strong sense of standardization of gender violence, that must be counteracted through a reformulation of nowadays social relations.
