Francisco de Miranda (1750-1816), hero and martyr Precursor ofAmerican independence, was not only a great soldier, but a humanist. He knewGreek and Latin, met in his life a rich library, especially classical. He was the onlyhero of American independence who visited Greece. Greek authors representedin his library up to 170. In this paper we study Homeric presence in that library.
