Right approach in Sexual and Reproductive Health Policies of OCDE countries

Authors

Abstract

A scoping review was carried out based on the methodology of the Joanna Briggs Institute, through a search on websites of international organizations, academic search engines, and government databases, to observe the inclusion of a human rights approach in sexual and reproductive health policies. The objective is to identify existing gaps between expectations and effectively declared guarantees. This search presents evidence from 21 countries that address the approach, predominantly describing sub-guarantees of access and quality, partially tackling financial protection and continuous views, and minimally addressing reparation. It is concluded that there is heterogeneity in the incorporation of the rights-based approach in policy design, primarily focused on service delivery and, to a lesser extent, on social participation and remediate rights violations.
